Pupil Referral Unit
Nowadays young children are using technology more and more. Whether it is a phone, tablet, laptop or watching programmes, the online world is booming.
A recent report found that some 45% of 3 to 4 year-olds use YouTube, and 52% go online for an average of almost nine hours per week*.
Although IT lessons are taught to older children, it is important that young children know the importance of staying safe online and how to use technology in a safe way.
Below you will find useful links and resources to help you support your children and keep them safe online.
We are hoping to deliver a number of sessions for parents in the near future and will post the details as soon as we have them.

This toolkit provides three resources that offer practical tips and advice on different aspects of keeping your child safe online. They can help support parents and carers of any age child to start discussions about their online life, to set boundaries around online behaviour and technology use, and to find out where to get more help and support.
